About the Role

As a member of the Payroll Services Team reporting to the Employee Services & Payroll Manager, this role encompasses assisting with the end-to-end payroll processing of Catholic Schools Broken Bay’s (CSBB) fortnightly payroll for all permanent, temporary and casual employees.

This is a temporary full-time role within the Capability and Enablement of our People Workstream. This will be a 5 week leave cover for the dates from 3rd August 2026 until Friday 4th September 2026. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is immediately available or can start at short notice. This role will be based at our central office in Pennant Hills.

Key role responsibilities:

- Conduct and assist with the fortnightly end-to-end Payroll processing in accordance with the CSBB Payroll Checklist for staff and provide information in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
- Provide clear, accurate and timely customer service responding to Payroll enquires by phone, Teams,



email or Service CSBB
- Tax, banking and superannuation nominations (new starter set up and adjustments for existing staff)
- Utilise PHRIS (our payroll system) to calculate and process employee leave entitlements, including but not limited to; annual leave, personal leave, long service leave, in accordance with the relevant enterprise agreement and award
- Carry out any other duties when needed and as reasonably required

About You

- Extensive payroll knowledge and understanding of payroll processes
- At least 3 to 5 years end-to-end payroll processing experience
- Solid communicator who can provide exceptional customer service to our Schools and Central Office staff
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of Oracle People Soft is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team and share knowledge
- Ability to problem solve with a hands-on-approach when required
- An ability to prioritise, plan, multi-task and manage time effectively, with an ability to work independently
- A deep commitment to safeguarding as everyone's responsibility and prioritising child safety
- Is adaptive and responsive to change and can manage competing priorities to deliver high quality work
- Experience with the Education sector is desirable
