Finance Officer (Health Manager Lvl 1) - Mental Health Service - Perm FT

You are a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional with strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy and compliance. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are confident managing competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

Experience in a health or public sector environment will be highly regarded, along with an understanding of complex service delivery settings such as mental health. Most importantly, you are motivated by contributing to a service that makes a meaningful difference in the community and are committed to supporting high-quality patient care through strong financial stewardship.

Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

Tertiary / Professional qualification in Accounting / Financial Management and/or equivalent work experience

Describe your experience in preparing financial reports, analysing budgets, and reconciling accounts. How have you identified and resolved discrepancies or anomalies, and what tools or systems did you use to ensure accuracy and compliance?

Provide an example of how you managed and provided financial variance analysis, including identifying key drivers and recommending practical strategies to address performance issues in your current or previous roles. How did you ensure timely processing, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and adhere to organisational policies and statutory requirements?

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
