Inspirations Paint is Australia's leading Paint Specialists Franchise Group, servicing both the retail and trade markets. A permanent position (full time or part time) is available in the Rockhampton, QLD store.Inspirations Paint employees are part of Australia's largest network of paint stores, serving both retail (DIY) and trade (professional/commercial) markets inHouse, Automotive, Marine, Industrial, paint segments, as well as Spray and Blast.
Previous experience within the paint industry is essential as the paint industry is a specialised industry and we pride ourselves on providing accurate and skilled advice to our customers. Relevant personal experience in home improvement projects, industrial, automotive or within the paint or hardware industries is an advantage. Sales and stock management may also be advantageous.
AboveAward wages will paid to the right candidate. Uniform and ongoing training are provided.Store hours are 6.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, 7.00amto 1.00pm Saturday and you will be required to work between these hours on a weekly roster, with some flexibility with hours. You will be required to work Saturdays by rotation. The storeis not open onSunday or Public Holidays.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing an exemplary customer experience to both retail and trade customers
- Tinting and mixing paint,
and colour advice
- Following the "Inspirations Way"
- Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge in the areas of paint and protective coatings, while assisting with sales, stock control and merchandising
- Store presentation, stock management, housekeeping
- Workplace Health & Safety
Experience / Attributes:
- A background in sales and/or customer service with a paint specialist or in a hardware environment would be an advantage
- Practical experience in home improvement projects desirable
- Experience with automotive and industrial paints
- Able to problem solve using advanced communication skills
- A willingness to learn and continuously improve
- Able to contribute and work in a small team environment
- Full current driver's licence (no restrictions)
- Honest, reliable and punctual
- Basic computer skills
- Forklift licence would be an advantage
- Available to work Saturdays on a rotating roster
- This role involves frequent heavy lifting up to 25kgs and can be physically demanding
