Private Surgical Bookings – Data Entry Assistant (4-Month Contract)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Data Entry Assistant to join our Private Surgical Bookings team on a 4-month maternity leave contract, with an immediate start.

This role may suit someone with previous experience in private healthcare administration, including a university student studying medicine or a related health discipline who already has relevant industry experience and is looking to further develop their knowledge of private surgical practice.

Applicants must have Australian work authorisation.

About the Role

We are looking for someone with experience in private surgical or anaesthetic bookings who understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism when managing patient and procedural information.

Ideally, you will have previously worked in a private hospital booking office, specialist practice, or anaesthetic practice, and be familiar with private medical administration processes.

A minimum of 1–2 years' experience in private surgical or anaesthetic bookings is preferred, although applicants with strong data entry skills and other relevant healthcare administration experience are encouraged to apply.





The position will initially involve 25–32 hours per week, worked during normal business hours, to cover a staff member on maternity leave. There may be opportunities for additional hours depending on workload and performance.

You will have:

- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

- Experience with private surgical or anaesthetic bookings (preferred).

- Solid organisational and time management skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- A professional, friendly, and patient-focused approach.

- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining strict confidentiality.

- Confidence using computer systems and entering data accurately.
