About the Role – Leading Hand / Skilled Civil Labourer

We are seeking reliable and experienced Skilled Civil Labourers and Leading Hands to join our growing team, working across major infrastructure and basement projects throughout Sydney.

These hands-on roles involve contributing to a wide range of civil construction activities, including supervising crews, coordinating daily site tasks, and supporting Site Supervisors to deliver project milestones safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out general civil labouring duties including site preparation,



trenching, pipe laying, concreting, and material handling
- Operate machinery and small plant where required (e.g. roller, dump truck, and other site equipment)
- Work alongside site teams to ensure daily tasks are completed safely and on schedule
- Follow all safety procedures and actively contribute to a strong safety-first culture

Leading Hand Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate small crews of labourers
- Communicate daily instructions, updates, and priorities to teams
- Support Site Supervisors with planning and task allocation
- Monitor quality, progress, and productivity of site works

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience in civil construction, infrastructure, or demolition projects
- VOCs or tickets for roller and dump truck (highly desirable)
- White Card and valid driver’s licence (essential)
- Robust understanding of safe work practices and WHS compliance
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
- Proven leadership experience on civil sites (for Leading Hand positions)
