Dr Anna Walch and Dr Ajita Basu (Life Fertility Brisbane) – Bowen Hills QLD

We're two young specialist doctors building a modern Fertility, Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, organised Medical Secretary to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, holistic care while fostering a supportive and collaborative workplace. We are looking for an enthusiastic secretary who enjoys building relationships with patients and wants to become an important part of growing our clinic. We are after someone to work 4 days a week, starting October (days can be flexible).

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years' medical reception experience
- Experience in a specialist practice and/or fertility setting highly regarded but not essential – we’re happy to train the right person who is keen to learn
- Practical experience with medical billing and medical records software
- Experience with Genie, Medicare and Fund/Hospital billing

Key responsibilities

- Greeting patients and managing calls with a friendly, professional manner
- Appointment scheduling and diary management (with Genie)
- Providing quotes and information on services
- Data entry and maintenance of electronic patient records, including document uploads




- Sterilising ultrasound equipment between patients
- Debtor management and daily banking reconciliation
- Booking surgery and theatre lists
- Liaising with private health funds, Medicare and fertility clinic nursing staff
- Ordering office supplies, referral stationery and linen
- General administrative support as required

Location: Life Fertility, Bowen Hills

Limited parking onsite, easily accessible by public transport

Hours: 8am-4pm

Temporary part time (12 month contract), with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position for the right candidate.
