AWN Insurance is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our Administration team at our modern offices in Tanah Merah. This role offers a diverse mix of accounts, reporting, reconciliation, compliance and administration responsibilities within a well-established Australian business.

Full Time, On-site

Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 5:15pm (no weekend work!)

Located in Tanah Merah, conveniently accessible to the Logan Hyperdome and many other major outlets surrounding.

About the Role

As an Accounts Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the financial and administrative operations of AWN Insurance and associated entities. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable processes, preparing reconciliations and reports, and assisting with compliance and corporate administration activities. This position is ideal for an organised administration professional who enjoys working with numbers and is looking to build on their experience in accounts and financial administration within a supportive team environment.

Your Main Duties Will Include

Accounts payable processing and payment administration

Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations





Auditing financial transactions and accounting records

Assisting with BAS, and other financial reporting requirements

Corporate credit card reconciliations and intercompany reimbursements

Financial data entry, record keeping and reporting

Preparing correspondence and documentation for management review

Maintaining company records and corporate registers

Providing professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders

General administration duties and support as required

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate

Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper, Finance Administration or similar role will be highly regarded

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Sound knowledge of accounts payable, reconciliations and financial administration

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online experience will be highly regarded)

Strong organisational and time management skills

Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Professional communication skills, both written and verbal

A proactive and solutions-focused approach

Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team workplace

High level of integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential information
