Bakers Delight Rutherford is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Baker to join our established bakery team. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide range of fresh bread and bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene and production efficiency.

- Weigh and combine flour, yeast, water and other ingredients according to recipes
- Mix, knead, mature, cut, mould and shape dough for bread and bakery products
- Produce breads, rolls, buns, artisan loaves and specialty bakery items
- Operate commercial mixers, dividers, moulders, provers and ovens
- Monitor fermentation, proving, dough temperature and product consistency
- Set and adjust oven temperatures, baking times and production equipment
- Inspect ingredients and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow daily production sheets and complete products within required timeframes
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and rotate ingredients correctly
- Record production quantities, stock usage and product wastage
- Maintain clean and hygienic equipment, benches,



trays and work areas
- Comply with food safety, sanitation and workplace safety requirements
- Assist in training and supporting junior bakery staff where required

Requirements

- Relevant trade qualification in baking or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated experience in commercial bread production
- Sound knowledge of dough development, fermentation, proving and baking
- Experience operating industrial or commercial bakery machinery
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain consistent quality in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual and physically capable of performing bakery duties
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays
