Clinic hours operate between 7.00am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a part time or casual Medical Receptionist who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and enjoys being part of a warm, welcoming administration team.

The role offers approximately 20-32 hours per week over 2-3 days, with flexibility to work additional hours to support staff leave when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage incoming telephone calls, assist patients with enquiries and take accurate messages.
- Prepare clinics for Gastroenterology and other specialist services.
- Meet and greet patients, schedule consultations, and coordinate pre-procedure and post-procedure appointments.
- Process patient billing and receipting.
- Accurately manage all medical correspondence and patient-related administration.
- Follow up on radiology, imaging and pathology results.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to doctors, patients and the broader administration team.

- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with staff and consultants at all levels.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with practice management software (e.g., Clinic to Cloud, Genie) is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn new systems is important.
- Valuable understanding of medical terminology, Medicare and health funds (desirable).
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment (specialist practice, hospital or day hospital) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- University students seeking experience in a health environment are welcome to apply.

Bridges Health Services is located on the Mater South Brisbane Campus, with easy access to public transport and subsidised parking available on the Mater campus.
