About the role
Our Resurfacing unit is experiencing a phase of exciting growth and is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic skilled to join our growing team to deliver some of Australia’s most iconic rail projects. We’re currently seeking a suitably skilled Machine Maintainer and Operator who can provide high-quality outcomes expected by our clients. Rhomberg Sersa Australia uses an operator‑maintainer model whereby the same crew members operate and maintain the machines.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Undertake all facets of machine maintenance
- Complete various courses to achieve machine operator qualifications
- Provide regular reports on machine condition
- Record and report all repairs undertaken to the maintenance supervisors
- Record track geometry as required
- Learn and or undertake machine driving duties
- Operate machines or measure track as required to provide services to Rhomberg Sersa Australia customers
- Deliver safe machine transfers in client networks
- Dual reporting responsibility both to the team manager on day-to-day events and a reporting line to the maintenance supervisor for maintenance work
- Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve the above tasks
- Trade qualified in a mechanical discipline
- Hold safe working qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Team player willing to get involved across the business
- Drivers Licence
- White Card
- Be able to demonstrate intricate knowledge of the working of this type of machine
- Have prior experience of resurfacing machine operations and maintenance
- RIW Card
- Hold a CAT1 Medical
