We're looking for someone with robust analytical instincts, but also the ability to build rapport quickly, communicate clearly, read a room, and represent the Fund well across a wide range of stakeholders. This role sits at the intersection of investment judgement, relationship-building, and execution.

What this role is

An early-career role in private market investing, designed for someone who wants specialistdevelopment in early-stage venture investment rather than public markets or generalist finance. The role supports the UEF team across sourcing, triage, diligence, investment materials, transaction support, portfolio reporting and workflow improvement.

You’ll work closely with seasoned investment professionals in a high-performance fund and get realexposure to:

- new startup opportunities entering the funnel;
- first-pass commercial, technical and financial analysis;
- investment memos and Investment Committee preparation;
- legal and transaction document review support;
- portfolio performance reporting, including fair value, IRR and MOIC analysis;
- ecosystem engagement with founders, co-investors, accelerators and internal stakeholders;

This is not a spectator role. You’ll be expected to contribute.

AI-first, by default

This role sits inside an AI-forward workflow. The team is actively improving efficiencythrough the use of generative and agentic AI in sourcing, investment and portfolio support functions, and the role is specifically expected to contribute to that effort.

That means you shouldbe excited by questions like:

- How can this process be faster?
- What can be automated?
- How can AI improve the quality of analysis, drafting or workflow design?

You do not need to be an engineer — but you do need to be interested in working intelligently withtools.





What we’re looking for

You’ll likely have:

- a Bachelor’s degree from a strong university, ideally in a technical or analytical field such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry or finance
- strong academic capability and excellent comprehension and communication skills
- interest in startups, venture capital and early-stage company building

It would be useful if you also have:

- exposure to a startup, accelerator or venture fund environment
- strong Excel capability and comfort with analytical work
- coding, Python, AI workflow or related technical skills
- good commercial instincts and the confidence to express a view respectfully and clearly

Who this won’t suit

This role is not aimed at graduates seeking a public markets pathway. It is much closer to privateequity / venture investing, where information is incomplete, judgement matters, and the work is often unstructured. The role is explicitly focused on startup opportunities, due diligence, founder interaction, and early-stage investment support.
