We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist/Medical Administrator to join our team in a permanent part-time position working 34 hours per week across 4 days. This role is ideal for someone looking for work-life balance while building a long-term career in specialist healthcare.

Synergy Cardiology is a busy specialist cardiology practice committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a professional, caring and supportive environment.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting our cardiologists and clinical team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming patients with professionalism and compassion

- Managing a busy appointment schedule

- Answering and directing high-volume telephone enquiries

- Processing Medicare, DVA and private health billing

- Managing referrals, correspondence and medical records

- Liaising with GPs, specialists, hospitals and allied health providers

- Supporting the clinical team with daily administrative tasks





- Maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in a specialist medical practice or healthcare environment

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Outstanding organisational and time management abilities

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- The ability to multitask while remaining calm under pressure

- Confidence using medical software and Microsoft Office

- A professional, positive and team-focused attitude

- The ability to work independently, use initiative and take ownership of your role

Highly Regarded

- Experience in cardiology or another specialist practice

- Knowledge of Medicare billing and Eclipse claiming

- Experience with Gentu (or similar medical software)
