The Byron Bay Services Club is one of the Northern Rivers' leading community clubs, providing quality hospitality, dining, entertainment and gaming facilities for more than 8,000 members and visitors. We are currently seeking a motivated, organised and personable Administration & Reception Officer to join our administration team in a casual position averaging approximately 24 hours per week across 3½ days.
This is a varied role that combines administration, finance support and front-of-house reception, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with people as much as they enjoy working with numbers.
About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and General Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Daily takings reconciliations
Cash float reconciliations
Processing supplier invoices and payment of creditors
Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
Accurate data entry and maintenance of financial records
Reception duties, including welcoming members and guests and answering telephone enquiries
Membership administration
Operation and support of the Club's Point of Sale (POS) system
General office and administrative duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Previous experience in an administration or office environment
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Strong numerical, reconciliation and organisational skills
A professional, friendly and approachable manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team
A high level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality
The following experience will be highly regarded:
Payroll processing experience
Previous experience in the hospitality, licensed club or hotel industry
Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and membership administration
Hours of Work
This is a casual position averaging approximately 24 hours per week, generally worked between 8.30 am and 3.30 pm across 3½ days each week.
Additional hours will be available from time to time to provide annual leave and other staff relief.
