The Role:
The position blends executivesupport in the day-to-day business operationswith responsibility forconsistent and compliant people practices. This is a key role within a growing consultancy, with direct exposure to leadership with whom you’ll work in a hands‑on capacity to make decisions and get things done.
Key Responsibilities:
People & Operations
- Carry out end to end talent acquisition and proactively drive recruitment process improvement.
- Deliver onboarding and development processes as well as classification and performance review activities.
- Support in developing policies, procedures SOPs and other internal content.
- Drive, plan and deliver wellbeing, recognition and team engagement initiatives and events.
- Maintain LinkedIn presence and website content.
Administrative Support
- Provide flexible support across all areas of the business to keep operations running smoothly.
- Handle general office duties, day-to-day requests, and staff affairs.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and maintain documentation and records across shared drives and systems.
- Act as a liaison with clients, contractors, and agencies.
- Ensure a well‑organised, professional, and welcoming office environment is maintained.
- Draft correspondence, and coordinate internal communications, scheduling, and follow-ups.
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience providing administrative support in a qualified SME environment (consulting or engineering sector will be highly regarded).
- Technical systems & software knowledge, with a familiarity with office hardware and systems and proficiency in MS Office (SharePoint & document management is a plus).
- Understanding of employment legislation as well as experience in Award interpretation and HR and recruitment functions.
- High emotional intelligence and an approachable people focus, with proficiency in building and nurturing successful working relationships.
- Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and supporting strategy delivery.
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in payroll processing or WHS management would be an added strength.
