We're recruiting a Family Services Case Manager to support vulnerable and at-risk families with children aged 0-17. This role focuses on strengthening parenting capacity and supporting safer, more stable family environments through evidence-based, strengths-based practice, delivered largely in the family home.
The role
In this position you will:
- Provide case management and case planning to families with multiple and complex needs
- Conduct complex assessments and deliver targeted, solution-focused interventions
- Support families to build parenting capacity, stability, and safety
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders including The Orange Door and Child Protection / Protective Services
- Maintain strong partnerships with external services to ensure co-ordinated and seamless support
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues and other service providers as required
What you'll bring
- Bachelor of Social work or equivalent, a relevant Diploma (Community Services) combined with experience will also be considered.
- Experience working with vulnerable and at-risk children and families
- Proven ability to complete complex assessments and implement strengths-based, solution-focused interventions
- Sound knowledge of, or experience working alongside, The Orange Door and Protective Services / Child Protection
- Strong capability in case planning and case management
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team-oriented team
- Confidence building relationships across a range of stakeholders and service systems
Working arrangements
- 0.7 FTE (part-time)
- Fixed-term until 30 June 2027
- Glen Waverley location with 1 day per week working from home
- Must have a valid driver's licence and own car (home-based work)
