Nextgen Early Learning Centre is seeking passionate and dedicated Diploma Qualified Educators to join our team in Harrington Park NSW. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early learning and development. As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you will play a crucial role in creating nurturing, stimulating environments where children can thrive, learn and grow. Your expertise and enthusiasm will directly contribute to the quality of care and education we provide, helping to shape the foundation for every child's future success.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate learning experiences and activities that promote children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development
- Provide safe, supportive and inclusive care to children whilst maintaining a nurturing learning environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to support continuity of care and communication
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating observations with families and the team
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety compliance in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Support children with transitions between activities and routines, including meal times, rest times and outdoor play
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team and fellow educators to deliver quality early childhood education and care
- Engage in professional development and stay current with best practice in early childhood education
- Foster positive behavioural guidance that respects each child's individual needs and cultural background
What we're looking for
- Current Australian Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised qualification
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Demonstrated experience working with children in an early childhood education setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and contemporary teaching practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families and colleagues
- Ability to create inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, bending and sustained standing
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing
