About the role
We are looking for a Designer (school apparel) to join our Design and Product team in our Head Office at Eight Mile Plains.
Seeking a committed designer with a passion and understanding for construction & keen eye for design.
The role is a unique balance of creative design and technical product development. If you are the type of person who is serious about building a career in the fashion industry and keen to hit the ground running, this role will provide opportunities to learn new skills on the job.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing concept art for apparel items, managing sample coordination & technical specs with our partner factories. Coordinating sample and component approvals for our sales team.

Responsibilities
Create technical illustrations and concept art for new apparel items.
Prepare and manage technical packs for partner factories.
Manage and oversee sampling, fit, and quality control assurance with our partner factories keeping to critical timelines.
Coordination & communicate sample and component approvals with our sales team.
Maintain all digital and physical assets with a high standard of organisation.
Provide general creative support and assist with any additional tasks or projects assigned by the Head of Design
Skills and Experience
Experience creating technical garment specs.
Competent in Adobe Illustrator
Well trained design aesthetic
Knowledge of apparel construction, specifications and quality assurance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Background diploma or degree in fashion design and/or relevant industry experience (min 2yrs)
Proficient skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Solid attention to detail and accuracy ensuring technical standards are maintained.
