We are currently seeking an experienced Plumber to join our Garbutt team in a full time role.

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

Maintenance Plumbing:

- Carry out routine and preventative maintenance plumbing for private, real estate, and Body Corporate clients.
- Diagnose and repair faults across taps, toilets, hot water systems, and water supply lines.
- Liaise with property managers, owners, and Body Corporate representatives to schedule and complete works efficiently.

Urgent Callouts & Emergency Response:

- Respond promptly to urgent callouts, including burst pipes, blocked drains, and water leaks.
- Attend after-hours emergencies and assess situations quickly to minimise property damage.
- Prioritise and resolve high-risk plumbing issues to restore safe, functioning systems.

Drainage Works:

- Clear, repair, and maintain drainage systems across residential and commercial properties.
- Operate drain cameras and jetting equipment to locate and clear blockages.
- Conduct excavation, pipe relining, and replacement works as required.

Commercial Property Maintenance:

- Deliver ongoing plumbing maintenance for commercial properties and facilities.
- Inspect, service, and repair commercial water and drainage systems.
- Coordinate with building managers to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.

Commercial Refurbishment:

- Complete rough-in installations for new and refurbished commercial fit-outs.




- Carry out fit-off works, including the installation of fixtures, fittings, and connections.
- Read and interpret plans to ensure works meet project specifications and compliance standards.

Insurance Leak Detection & Make-Safes:

- Perform leak detection investigations for insurance claims using specialised equipment.
- Identify the source of water damage and document findings accurately for reporting.
- Conduct make-safe works to secure properties and prevent further damage.

General Duties:

- Comply with all relevant plumbing codes, standards, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate job records, reports, and documentation.
- Provide professional, courteous service to clients across all assignments.

Skills & Qualifications

Trade Qualifications & Licensing

- Relevant trade qualification AQF Certificate IV with at least one year of relevant experience. Alternatively, at least three years of full time relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification.

Technical Skills

- Robust all-round plumbing skills across maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving faults during urgent and after-hours callouts.
- Competent in drainage works, including drain camera operation, jetting, pipe relining, and excavation.
- Skilled in commercial property maintenance across water and drainage systems.
- Hands-on experience with commercial refurbishment rough-ins and fit-off works.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications,



and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of leak detection methods and equipment for insurance investigations.
- Capable of carrying out make-safe works to secure properties and limit further damage.
- Sound understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and workplace health and safety regulations.
