Truck Sales Trainee- $1000 Sign on Bonus (Conditions Apply)

About the Role

RTP is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Truck Sales Trainee to join our growing team. This is an excellent prospect for someone wanting to build a long-term career in the heavy vehicle industry. You will work alongside experienced sales professionals and gain hands‑on experience in all aspects of truck and trailer sales.

No two days are the same. You will be involved in everything from marketing stock and managing customer enquiries through to preparing contracts and coordinating body builds.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the sales team with the sale of new and used trucks and trailers.
- Upload and market stock across various online platforms and social media channels.
- Manage incoming sales enquiries and follow up customer leads.
- Cold call prospective customers and generate new business opportunities.
- Prepare and manage sales contracts and supporting documentation.
- Assist with finance applications and settlement processes where required.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and body builders regarding tray bodies, tipper bodies, and other body fitments.
- Organise quotations and specifications for customer requirements.
- Move and present trucks for inspections, photography,



and customer demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate records within the dealership's systems.
- Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the sales process.
- Assist with all day-to-day activities associated with truck sales operations.

What We're Looking For

- A genuine passion for trucks and the transport industry.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or the heavy vehicle industry is highly regarded.
- Strong computer skills and confidence using online systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- High attention to detail.
- A current driver's licence is essential.
- Willingness to learn how to drive and manoeuvre heavy vehicles (HR licence advantageous but not essential).
- Reliable, well-presented, and self-motivated.
