About the Role

We currently have multiple positions available for Fabricators & Pressure Vessel Fabricators based in our Wacol, Queensland manufacturing facility. An immediate start with overtime available. The future looks bright with orders for our products and services secured well into the end of this year and beyond.

You will ideally be able to work autonomously to apply your skills in the fabrication of a range of products such as pressure vessels, walkways and ladders, chassis subframes, heavy vehicle modifications, transport equipment, and other associated equipment.

Reporting to the Fabrication Workshop Foreman your responsibilities include;

- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate pressure vessels and associated equipment
- Perform welding, cutting,



and grinding tasks as required
- Work as part of a team to ensure projects are delivered on time to a high quality
- Complete quality checks as directed on completed equipment
- Assist in training/guidance of apprentices and trade-assistants

Preferred Skills and experience

- Experienced with carbon steel pressure vessel or storage tank fabrication – medium fabrication (5-8mm thickness)
- Experience with general structural fabrication
- Experience working with fitment of bodies to heavy vehicles
- Fabricate components according to technical drawings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in GMAW welding with the ability to pass a AS3992 weld test
- Certification III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or Equivalent
- Stainless steel or aluminium pressure vessel or storage tank fabrication experience
- High Risk work licence for Forklift
