ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lending Support Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting Custom Fleet’s lending operations across the full customer lifecycle. You will ensure applications, settlements, portfolio administration activities are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with compliance requirements. This is a 6-month contract based in Sydney.
Working closely with brokers, customers, dealers, and internal stakeholders, you will manage lending applications from submission through to settlement, support ongoing customer servicing activities, and help deliver an exceptional experience across every interaction. This role is ideal for someone with strong asset finance or commercial lending experience who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.
Coordinate and manage lending applications, settlements, and servicing activities throughout the customer lifecycle.
Review application and settlement documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lending requirements.
Perform AML/CTF verification and maintain compliance documentation and records.
Manage operational workflows and monitor application progress to ensure service standards and settlement timeframes are achieved.
Liaise with customers, brokers, dealers, and internal stakeholders to obtain information and resolve processing issues.
Support settlement activities, including satisfying conditions, coordinating funding requirements and maintaining accurate records.
Assist with customer account maintenance, repayment schedule administration and ongoing servicing requirements.
Coordinate loan payouts, amendments, discharges and portfolio servicing activities.
Manage customer and broker enquiries, providing timely and professional support.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all activities meet regulatory, compliance and organisational requirements.
Complete any additional duties as required.
Other Duties
Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and customer experience.
Identify opportunities to improve policies, processes, and broker experience as the lending channel evolves.
Support broader operations activities and assist team members as required.
Participate in team meetings, training, and development initiatives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years’ experience in settlements, loan administration, asset finance operations, or a similar lending support role.
Demonstrated experience within commercial lending, asset finance, vehicle finance, or broker‑originated lending environments.
Experience managing settlement and loan administration processes across the customer lifecycle.
Proven ability to manage multiple applications, settlements, or servicing activities simultaneously while meeting service standards.
Other
Degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline is highly regarded. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
Experience working within a high-volume commercial lending environment is advantageous.
Exposure to vehicle finance, fleet management, or automotive finance sectors is desirable.
ABOUT YOU
Strong understanding of loan documentation, settlement processes, and security requirements.
Sound knowledge of AML/CTF obligations and customer identification requirements.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify documentation discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple settlements and competing priorities.
Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to delivering positive customer experiences.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong relationship-building capability with brokers, customers, dealers, and internal stakeholders.
Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Ability to operate effectively in a rapid-paced and evolving environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Other
Knowledge of commercial lending products and asset finance structures.
Experience working with broker networks and third‑party introducers.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience.
Familiarity with lending systems and workflow management platforms.
