About the role We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Fleet Manager to oversee and coordinate the efficient operation of transport fleet for our client SODHI SERVICES PTY LTD.

Our client has successful transportation business and has fleets including multiple trucks and trailers. They are adding more vehicles and requires a full-time dedicated fleet manager to manage the operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing fleet performance, vehicle utilisation, driver coordination, maintenance planning, and compliance requirements to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective transport operations.

This role requires strong leadership skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to optimise fleet resources while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and service delivery.

Key Duties

- Manage and coordinate daily fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are efficiently allocated and available to meet business and customer delivery requirements.
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to improve vehicle utilisation, operational efficiency, cost control, and overall transport performance.
- Monitor fleet schedules, vehicle availability, and operational requirements to support timely delivery services and minimise disruptions.
- Coordinate regular vehicle servicing, inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities in collaboration with workshops and service providers.
- Maintain accurate fleet records, including vehicle registrations, maintenance history, compliance documentation, and operational reports.
- Supervise and support drivers, ensuring adherence to company procedures,



workplace health and safety requirements, and transport regulations.
- Review driver performance, provide operational guidance, and promote safe driving practices and responsible vehicle use.
- Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle operating costs, and fleet expenses to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with relevant transport legislation, heavy vehicle requirements, road safety standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate vehicle procurement, replacement planning, and disposal processes to maintain an effective and reliable fleet.
- Analyse fleet performance data, prepare operational reports, and provide recommendations to management for continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, mechanics, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality fleet support services.
- Implement risk management procedures, including safety inspections, incident reporting, and corrective actions to improve fleet reliability.
- Assist with route efficiency reviews and operational planning to maximise productivity and customer service outcomes.

Qualification and Experience Requirement.

- Minimum comparable Diploma or higher AQF level
- Highly relevant minimum 1 year of employment experience

- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to coordinate multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to manage drivers and operational stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of safety procedures, maintenance scheduling, and cost management practices.

Remuneration The successful candidate will receive an annual salary between $90,000 and $110,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with skills, experience, and industry standards. Application duration: 28 July 2026 to 27 August 2026.
