You’ll deliver work across resources and critical minerals projects, gas, pipeline and upstream development, renewable energy developments (solar, wind, hybrid generation), transmission, grid-scale storage and critical infrastructure, and approvals requiring strategic thinking and tight collaboration with regulators and clients.

The role – What you’ll lead

- Deliver and coordinate environmental approvals, EIAs, EMPs, audits, monitoring and compliance reporting
- Plan, manage and track projects – budgets, scope,



risks, delivery and client communication
- Analyse environmental data and identify risks, impacts and mitigation strategies
- Translate regulatory requirements into transparent advice for clients
- Work with internal specialists and external partners for multi-disciplinary outcomes
- Take ownership of client relationships, ensuring quality delivery and trusted-advisor service
- Contribute to fee proposals, scoping and tender submissions
- Support internal quality assurance and elevate our deliverables
- Represent Onward in QLD, with opportunity to build your network and shape presence
- Mentor junior consultants and step gradually into leadership responsibilities

About you

- Degree in environmental science, engineering, planning or related field
- 5+ years of environmental consulting or approvals experience
- Strong knowledge of QLD and Commonwealth approvals pathways (EP Act, EPBC Act etc.)
- Confident managing projects, schedules and deliverables
- Enjoy direct client contact and can translate technical detail into practical advice
- Desire to grow into leadership
- Collaborative, curious, pragmatic and keen to influence outcomes
