We're looking for an experienced and strategic Development & Impact Manager to lead our fundraising, philanthropy, grants, and impact initiatives. Coast Shelter is a leading Central Coast not for profit charity, assisting families, adults and young people with complex issues arising from their experience of homelessness, abuse and neglect. You will be joining a team of committed team members and volunteers who are driven by our mission to deliver person centred services to people in crisis within our community who are experiencing homelessness or domestic and family violence. The Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Development and Impact Manager is responsible fordriving Coast Shelter's fundraising, philanthropy, grants, partnerships, and impact initiatives to support the organisation's long-term sustainability and growth . Leading our Marketingand Communications Coordinator, you will identify and secure funding opportunities across government, philanthropic, corporate and community sectors,



while building strong relationships with donors, funders and strategic partners. You will also lead the development of Coast Shelter's impactmeasurement framework, ensuring we effectively demonstrate the outcomes of our services and the difference we make in the lives of the people we support. This is a strategic leadership role that combines relationship management, business development, fundraising, grant and tender writing, and impact reporting to help strengthen Coast Shelter's capacity to deliver meaningful outcomes for our community.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement fundraising and philanthropy strategies that grow sustainable income.
- Identify and secure grant, tender, government, philanthropic and corporate funding opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, funders, community partners and key stakeholders.
- Lead donor engagement, stewardship and fundraising campaigns.
- Develop and oversight Coast Shelter's impact measurement framework and reporting.
- Prepare compelling funding submissions, grant applications and tender responses.
- Monitor funding trends, government priorities and emerging opportunities.
- Support advocacy initiatives and represent Coast Shelter as a trusted community partner.
- Analyse fundraising performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

You are a strategic thinker with exceptional relationship-building skills and a genuine passion for creating positive social outcomes.

You'll bring:





- Relevant tertiary qualifications (or extensive equivalent experience) in a related discipline.
- Demonstrated success securing grants, tenders and philanthropic funding.
- Experience developing fundraising and donor engagement strategies.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent written communication with the ability to prepare high-quality funding submissions and reports.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform decision-making.
- The ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple priorities.
