Colors Paradise About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Painting Trades Worker to become part of a growing business undertaking a variety of residential and commercial painting projects across Victoria.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching holes, removing old paint, filling cracks, and cleaning surfaces. Mix and match paints, stains, varnishes, primers, and other coatings to achieve the required colours and finishes. Apply paints, varnishes, lacquers, sealants, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray-painting equipment.

Measure work areas and estimate the quantity of paint and materials required for each project. Apply decorative finishes, textures, wallpapers, and specialty coatings where required. Protect surrounding surfaces using masking materials, drop sheets, and protective coverings before commencing painting work.

Erect and safely use ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms in accordance with workplace safety requirements. Inspect completed painting work to ensure it meets quality standards and rectify any defects or imperfections. Maintain painting tools, equipment, and materials in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.

Comply with workplace health and safety legislation, company policies, and industry best practices. Liaise professionally with supervisors, team members, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. Skills and Requirements AQF Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification, or at least three years of relevant industry experience .

Demonstrated experience in residential and commercial painting projects. Sound knowledge of painting materials,



surface preparation techniques, coatings, and finishing methods. Experience using brushes, rollers, spray-painting equipment, ladders, and scaffolding safely.

Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and project requirements. Solid attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills. Solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices. A current Australian driver's licence will be highly regarded.
