As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs for our Fairways Residential Aged Care Home and Retirement Living located in Bundaberg. Your ability to foster strong relationship with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.

Responsibilities include:

- Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, plaster repairs, window and door repairs and minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks
- Conduct routine preventative and corrective maintenance across buildings, equipment, and facilities to minimise faults, ensure compliance with aged care standards, and support a safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Bus driving is a requirement of this position.
- Provides timely and professional communication and assistance to residents regarding maintenance issues, repairs, installations, and other requests
- Comply with health and safety requirements and protocols while performing maintenance activities, ensuring protected working environment





About you

- Experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in an aged care environment
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach and ability to workindependently
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) & NDIS Clearance (if required)
- Evidence of Australian working rights
- Valid Australian LR driver’s licence
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
