Memobottle is looking for a Videographer & Content Creator to join our growing team. You will work with our marketing team to shoot, concept and help edit engaging video content that builds brand awareness, drives our social channels and creates amazing customer journeys.
In this role your main focus will be shooting: fast-turnaround social content, campaign hero pieces, small in-office product sets, and the wider story of memobottle - our founders, our product development, our team and our partnerships. Most day-to-day shooting is on iPhone, with professional camera and lighting setups for bigger pieces. You'll be a key voice in group ideation, help develop series, storylines and hooks, direct the edit and brief our offshore editor, and you cut your own footage where needed.
Bring us your eye for a great shot, your instinct for what makes people stop scrolling, and your hunger to build something of your own, and in return we'll offer a world-class team to learn from, the tools to do your thing and the support you need to flourish.
Quick note on experience level: this sits at the junior end, but it's not a starting-from-scratch gig. You don't need years of agency polish - honestly, a bit less of that is probably a positive thing. What we're after is someone who's actually picked up a camera and an editing timeline before, for real. So when you apply, show us: a showreel, social clips, client work, or a personal project you're proud of. We can't take an application further without something to look at, but if you've got the talent, the passion and the instincts to back it up, as well as wanting to be 'world-class ', we'd love to meet you.
You could be the one if…
- Have proven shooting experience — although most of the time you'll be shooting on iPhone, you know your way around a professional camera and video camera too: exposure, framing and the fundamentals of good footage, evidenced in work you can show us
- Have proven editing experience — you edit confidently in CapCut for quick-turnaround content, and in a professional tool (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut or similar) for bigger pieces, with a good feel for captions, transitions, hooks, pattern interrupts and the pacing that keeps people watching. Note: most of the editing will be done by an external editor, but you must have a strong understanding so that you can brief them and refine.
- Understand lighting — you can make a room, or a face, look the way you want it to
- Have a feel for scripting and research, and know how to use AI to speed both up.
- Communicate clearly and precisely — you can brief an offshore editor so nothing gets lost in translation and videos come back right the first time. And if not, know how to communicate what needs to be done to get it in line with the vision.
- Are just as comfortable shooting quick content on iPhone day-to-day as you are being crafty and hands-on — building a simple set, dressing a scene, and problem-solving with what's around you. This crafty creativity resourcefulness is a must.
- Are confident conceptualising and pitching ideas in group ideation sessions, and can take a concept and execute it visually
- Are creative, coachable and fast — you take direction, run with it, and execute with real urgency
- Bring energy and standards — you care about the work and want to do it properly
- Have good time management, organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
- You're ambitious and passionate about content, and want to make your mark. You're motivated to produce a high volume of high-quality work in a fast-paced environment — this is extremely important to us
- Genuinely enjoy being around people, and want to build something with a team you like
If you were here last week you may have…
- Shot a week's worth of social content on iPhone, briefed our offshore editor, and taken it from concept through to final capture
- Directed one of our founders on camera for an organic piece
- Shot behind-the-scenes footage of our office build for an upcoming YouTube video
- Briefed our offshore editor on a campaign video, then reviewed and tightened up the cut
- Built a small set in the office for a product shoot and dressed it with props and lighting
- Used AI to speed up scripting or research for an upcoming piece
- Reworked a top-performing older asset into a fresh iteration
- Pitched ideas in a group ideation session and sketched out how to shoot them
- Mapped out a storyline or hook for a new content series
- Spotted a trending format or hook and adapted it for memobottle
Some of the responsibilities of your new role…
- Shoot the majority of memobottle's video content — primarily on iPhone day-to-day, with professional camera and lighting setups when the shoot calls for it
- Take part in group ideation sessions, taking a concept and executing it visually
- Understand and interpret briefs from the marketing team, translating them into shot lists and finished content
- Develop series, storylines and hooks that keep audiences engaged across social platforms
- Tell the wider story of memobottle — building content around our founders, product development, the team and our partnerships, including behind-the-scenes footage as we build out our office, turned into YouTube videos
- Star our founders in organic content, directing them on camera and helping them look their best
- Build and dress small in-office sets for product shoots
- Direct the edit — brief and collaborate with our offshore video editor, communicating clear, detailed requirements so finished videos come back exactly right (this communication is critical to the role)
- Edit content yourself in-house where needed
- Make, or brief, iterations of past assets that have performed well
- Work with our Creative Director to bring their vision to life across campaign videos and assets
- Keep sales front of mind — we're a business with a product to sell, and our content should support that
- Manage creative assets related to shoots, including footage, props and sets
- Maintain a high, consistent output of content in a fast-paced environment
- Perform other duties as required by the marketing team
Required skills:
- iPhone videography (primary day-to-day shooting tool)
- Solid understanding of transitions, hooks, pattern interrupts and the pacing that keeps people watching.
- Professional camera and video camera operation — exposure, framing and lighting a scene
- CapCut for quick-turnaround edits
- Confident in at least one professional editing tool — Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro
- Basic set building and prop styling
- Comfortable using AI tools to speed up scripting and research
Bonus points for skills in
- Proficiency across multiple editing tools (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro)
- Performance or direct-response creative experience
- Photography
- Motion design
