Balance! Edmonton Family Practice is a progressive multidisciplinary primary health care setting, fully accredited and equipped with modern facilities including dedicated acute treatment areas and a nurses station.
The independent doctors at this well-established location offer a broad range of clinical services including chronic health management, men’s health, women's and children's services, indigenous health and the full range of general practice services.
We are currently seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join the team on a casual basis. Must be available to work across 7 days per week.
About the role
The role will be responsible for the day to day general practice duties, to help improve health outcomes for our patients.
Duties include
- Chronic Disease Management
- Care Plans and Health Assessments
- Wound care
- Triage management
- Treatment room assistance as required
- Stock maintenance and ordering
- Diagnostic procedures e.g. ECG and Spirometry
To be considered you must have the following;
- RN with experience working as a Practice Nurse
- Current unrestricted nursing registration with AHPRA
- Completed the Australian Government COVID training modules
- The ability to work independently and take initiative
- A "can do" attitude and be a proactive/forward thinker
- A strong multitasking and organisational skills
- Current First Aid certificate and CPRImmunisation endorsed and papregistered highly desirable,though not essential
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment,as part of theteam as well as autonomously
- Exceptional patient and customer service skills
- Commitment to best practice
- Commitment to ethical behaviour and conduct
