Clinical Nurse Educator - General Surgical Ward - Temp PT

This opportunity is ideal for a passionate and motivated educator who is committed to developing others and driving clinical excellence in surgical nursing. You enjoy mentoring staff, promoting evidence-based practice, and creating positive learning experiences that enhance patient care and workforce capability.

With a focused two-day-per-week roster working Monday and Tuesday only, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within the General Surgical Ward at Campbelltown Hospital while supporting the ongoing development of our nursing workforce.

Selection Criteria

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education post graduate qualification or a combination of education training and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.

Describe your experience in developing and delivering education programs for nursing staff in a general surgical setting. Can you provide an example of how your teaching improved clinical practice or patient outcomes?

How do you assess the learning needs of nurses with varying levels of experience, including graduate nurses, and tailor your education to meet those needs?

Tell us about a time you identified a gap in clinical practice or staff knowledge on a surgical ward. What steps did you take to address it, and what was the outcome?

Clinical Nurse Educators play a key role in promoting evidence-based practice. How do you ensure your education remains current, and how have you supported the implementation of evidence-based changes within a surgical ward?
