Electrician – Power Generation & Battery Systems

GeneRent is expanding, and we're looking for another Electrician to join our Brisbane team.

This is a hands‑on role working across Diesel Generators, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hybrid Power Solutions and temporary site power equipment. About the Role

Based from our Brisbane workshop, you'll split your time between workshop-based repairs, commissioning, equipment preparation, and field work across South East Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect, repair and maintain diesel generators and associated equipment

- Commission and troubleshoot Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

- Install and commission temporary power systems

- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults

- Carry out preventative maintenance and equipment inspections

- Attend breakdowns and emergency call‑outs when required

- Complete service reports and maintain a high standard of workmanship

- Work safely while providing excellent customer service on site

- This role also includes participation in a rotating on call roster (approximately one week in every three). A competitive standby allowance is paid, with all call‑outs paid at applicable overtime rates.

What We're Looking For

- Current Queensland Electrical Licence

- Current Driver's Licence

- Current Forklift License - not required but preferable

- Experience with generators, industrial electrical systems or power generation is highly regarded

- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills





- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies

- Ability to work independently and as part of a close‑knit team

- High attention to detail and pride in your work

Previous experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems is not essential. We will provide ongoing training and support to the right person.
