Are you a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants their work to make a difference? PCYC NSW is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to support the day-to-day financial operations of our organisation.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring our clubs and services operate smoothly - supporting more than 60 communities across NSW by keeping our financial processes accurate, efficient, and compliant.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for the end-to-end processing of accounts payable transactions. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely payments, accurate records, and strong financial controls.
You will:
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Monitor invoice exports to the accounting system and liaise with IT where issues arise.
- Prepare weekly and ad hoc vendor payment batches and ensure timely distribution of remittances.
- Prepare manual payments and manage refund requests as required.
- Manage vendor onboarding and updates, including bank details and ABN verification.
- Maintain aged accounts payable listings and follow up outstanding items appropriately.
- Respond to internal staff and external vendor queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations for vendor payments and manage bounced payments through to reprocessing.
- Support compliance with PCYC NSW policies, procedures, and financial controls.

ABOUT YOU
You’re organised, reliable, and take pride in delivering accurate financial outcomes. You enjoy working as part of a team and are comfortable managing competing priorities in a transactional finance environment.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in an Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a high-volume processing workplace.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including experience with spreadsheets, databases, and general ledger systems.
- Experience with TechOne Finance Software, Promaster, or Rapid AP (desirable).
- A genuine interest in working for a not-for-profit organisation (desirable).
- A strong alignment with PCYC NSW’s values: Respect, Community, Integrity, Commitment, and Resilience.
- Current Working With Children Check and National Police Check.
