Reporting to Chief Steward, as a Kitchen Steward your main duties will include but are not limited to:

Washing crockery, cutlery and glassware using commercial dishwashers

Washing cooking equipment and tools

Completing daily cleaning of the kitchens

Assist with the set up and pack down of buffets and banquets as required

You will work with the team to ensure that that cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained at all time. Attention to detail is essential.

Requirements

An energetic and positive approach to getting the job done in a quick-paced environment

Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment

Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions

Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays

Availability to work increased work hours during busy periods
