About the Role
Our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Brisbane's western suburbs, is seeking a Validation Officer to support their Quality Assurance team on a casual contract through to the end of 2026.

This role will play a key part in supporting equipment and system validation activities across the site. Working closely with QA, laboratory teams, engineering and external vendors, you will assist with the qualification of current equipment, coordination of validation activities, and execution of validation protocols to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a pharmaceutical QA, QC or validation background looking to further develop their experience within validation and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate validation activities for new equipment and system implementation projects
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage installation schedules and validation timelines
- Execute and document Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) activities
- Support Computer System Validation (CSV) activities for new and existing laboratory systems
- Prepare, review, and maintain validation protocols, reports, and associated documentation
- Assist with equipment and system assessments, upgrades,



and lifecycle management activities
- Support implementation of new laboratory equipment and technologies
- Ensure all validation activities are performed in accordance with GMP requirements and company procedures
- Assist with investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls where required
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and audit-ready documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory and validation processes

Skills & Experience

- A degree in Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline
- Previous experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other GMP-regulated environment
- Experience working in a QC laboratory, QA, validation, laboratory support, or technical role
- Exposure to equipment qualification and validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ execution
- Understanding of GMP requirements and Good Documentation Practices
- Exposure to Computer System Validation (CSV) or laboratory computerised systems would be highly regarded
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation, calibration, maintenance, or troubleshooting would be advantageous
- Strong written documentation and technical reporting skills
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management abilities
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
