Job Summary
Lead electrophysiology services across Westmead, Norwest and Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAN), combining EP procedures, device management.
Join a growing specialist cardiac electrophysiology practice and play a key role in the delivery and coordination of arrhythmia care.
Working directly alongside a leading cardiac electrophysiologist, you will play a key role in the electrophysiology laboratory, assisting with complex ablation procedures. Outside the laboratory, you will coordinate cardiac device management and ambulatory rhythm monitoring.
This is a agile multi-site role providing exposure to a broad range of electrophysiology services across Westmead, Norwest and Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAN). The successful applicant will work closely with patients, hospital staff and referrers across both public and private healthcare environments, helping to coordinate care throughout the patient journey.
The position is ideally suited to an experienced cardiac physiologist who enjoys a combination of hands‑on laboratory work, cardiac rhythm management, patient coordination and service development.
The position offered as a full time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with SVT, atrial tachycardia, atrial flutter, AF, PVC and VT ablation procedures.
- Support electrophysiology procedures within the EP laboratory.
- Assist with procedural workflow and coordination within the EP laboratory staff.
- Perform pacemaker, ICD and CRT device follow-up, including remote monitoring checks.
- Coordinate ambulatory rhythm monitoring services including Holter and extended ECG monitoring.
- Assist with investigations, procedures,
admissions and organising follow-up appointments for patients.
- Provide patient with basic education regarding their procedure and/or cardiac device.
- Experience as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, Cardiac Scientist or equivalent.
- Demonstrated competency and ability to independently support and run electrophysiology procedures including SVT, atrial tachycardia, atrial flutter, AF and VT ablation procedures.
- Proficiency in programming and follow-up of pacemakers, ICDs and CRT devices, including reviewing remote monitoring platforms.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between practice and hospital locations.
Highly Desirable
Previous exposure with:
- EP mapping systems - CARTO, Medtronic, Abbott and Boston Scientific
- Complex AF and VT ablation procedures.
- Experience in a tertiary electrophysiology service.
- Experience with ambulatory rhythm monitoring and remote device management.
