We are currently partnering with a growing organisation seeking an External Sales Engineer to drive business growth across the QLD market. This chance is ideal for someone with a technical or engineering background who is passionate about building relationships and transitioning further into a sales-focused role.
The position focuses on a portfolio of sensors and instrumentation solutions, supporting customers across industries such as Mining, Defence, Water, Rail, Energy, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Universities, Research and Process Industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing major client accounts
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors
- Strengthen brand presence and raise the profile of the business within the QLD market
- Provide both pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including hands-on assistance where required
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through a consultative sales approach
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Background or prior experience in Engineering, sales and solution selling
- Proven experience in Sales, Business Development, or Account Management
- Exposure to university, research, defence, food & beverage, mining, or energy sectors
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a curious mindset and ability to work autonomously
