An Assembly Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Vehicle Fitterisneeded tofill a permanentposition assembling a range of OEM products in a well establishedGeneral Engineering Manufacturing company located in Morningside, Brisbane. An immediate start is available with on the job training available.
On a daily basis the successful applicant will be required to assist with the mechanical assembly of a variety of products including trailers for the mining industry, and perform other tasks depending on current workloads. Components are manufactured in-house and the position will include component preparation, assembly and detailing. Along with stock control, warehousing and dispatch. Attention to detail and mechanical fitting skills will be required and a forklift licence will be an advantage. Tools and on the job training will be provided.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Assembly of Finished Products.
Assembly of Trailers.
Finish, Pack and Dispatch of Components & Finished Product.
Receiving and Organisation of Inventory.
Preparation of components for assembly, painting and plating.
Daily Maintenance of Equipment
Daily cleaning and upkeep of workshop.
Ability to work unsupervised
Assist other Staff and Tradesmen and work in a team environment.
Qualifications
Experience in Vehicle Fitting or Mechanical Fitting
An ability to read and understand technical drawings including tolerances
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications
A qualified yet outgoing personality
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility and ability to Multitask
