About the Role
Reporting to a Construction Manager, you'll assist in managing commercial construction projects from planning through to completion.
You'll gain hands-on experience across all aspects of project delivery while building the skills required to lead your own projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the planning, coordination and delivery of commercial construction projects.
- Supporting project scheduling, budgeting and procurement activities.
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
- Monitoring project progress and assisting with reporting on cost, programme and quality.
- Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
- Assisting with contract administration and project documentation.
- Supporting the successful delivery of government and defence construction projects.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline (or be nearing completion).
- 1–3 years' experience in commercial construction, project coordination or site management (graduates with relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team.
- A positive attitude with a genuine desire to build a long-term career in project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience using construction management software viewed favourably.
