We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Bakery Retail Assistant to join our team at Lawnton Country Markets Bakery. As a casual Bakery Retail Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring our bakery operates smoothly.
What you'll be doing
Greeting and assisting customers at the bakery counter, providing recommendations and processing sales transactions
Maintaining the bakery display, restocking products and ensuring an inviting, clean and organized retail space
Providing excellent customer service and creating a positive experience for all customers
Assisting with food preparation tasks as required, such as packaging baked goods
Following all food safety and hygiene procedures to ensure the highest standards are upheld
Supporting the bakery team with other duties as needed to contribute to the overall success of the business
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, ideally within the food or hospitality industry
Minimum of 1+ years of customer service or retail experience is required for this position
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
Adaptability and the willingness to take on a variety of tasks as required
The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
Availability to work a adaptable schedule, including weekends and public holidays
Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
