Coastline Architectural Windows is seeking a skilled Window Fabricator to join our production team on a full-time basis at our Unanderra, NSW facility. This role is fundamental to our manufacturing operations, as you will be responsible for the precise fabrication and assembly of high-quality architectural windows. Your work will directly impact the quality of products we deliver to our clients and the efficiency of our production line. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble window frames and components according to specifications and technical drawings
- Operate and maintain window fabrication machinery and equipment safely and effectively
- Measure, cut, and shape materials including aluminium, timber, and glazing components with precision
- Perform quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure products meet company standards and client requirements
- Prepare windows for glazing and ensure proper installation of glass panes and seals
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Report any equipment issues or production concerns to supervisors promptly
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
What we're looking for
- Proven experience working as a window fabricator or in a similar manufacturing role within the architectural or construction industry
- Strong technical knowledge of window fabrication processes, materials, and methods
- Proficiency in operating window fabrication machinery and hand tools safely
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address production issues
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Commitment to health and safety standards and practices
- Physical capability to perform repetitive manual tasks and work with materials of varying weights
- Desirable: experience with computer-aided design (CAD) systems or production planning software
- Desirable: knowledge of aluminium, timber, and glazing materials and their properties
