An excellent part time, short term assignment opportunity with a leading Hunter-based essential-services organisation

Our client is a leading essential-services organisation delivering critical infrastructure and services to communities and businesses across the Hunter region.
This role will support the management of business customers, contractual obligations and regulatory compliance activities while helping improve service delivery across a diverse non-residential customer base.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Team Leader Business Compliance, you will manage a varied portfolio of customer compliance, operational coordination, investigations, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
The position will suit someone who combines strong customer relationship skills with sound commercial judgement, attention to detail and the confidence to manage complex or sensitive compliance matters.
You will be comfortable balancing customer service with regulatory, operational and commercial requirements -confident investigating issues, working with stakeholders to achieve practical and compliant outcomes.

This role is a part-time, 3 days per week temporary hire position.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage operational and compliance requirements across a portfolio of business customers.
- Respond to complex customer enquiries and provide practical, timely advice.
- Coordinate customer access, service arrangements and planned operational activities.
- Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- Investigate instances of non-compliance and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Administer customer application, reporting and invoicing systems.




- Reconcile customer information and charges against internal billing systems.
- Support long-term planning and risk-management activities.
- Assist with customer sampling, inspection and assurance programs.
- Manage compliance with customer agreements and risk-management plans.
- Coordinate customer communications, engagement and annual compliance activities.
- Support regulatory reporting, operational audits and internal governance requirements.
- Build effective relationships with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders.

About You

You will ideally bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong organisational and planning capability.
- Experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
- Well-developed mediation, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong business writing and reporting capability.
- Practical problem-solving skills.
- Confidence using business systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team.

Experience in customer support, compliance, utilities, infrastructure, environmental services or another regulated commercial setting will be highly regarded.
