About the Role

The Proficiency Coach is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of targeted academic, social-emotional, executive functioning, and transferable skills interventions across a P–12 context, predominately supporting students in years 7 - 10.

Term time - commencing as soon as possible and continuing until the end of Term 4 in December





This is a personally rewarding role where you will support students in the School.

You will

- Develop targeted interventions that develop students' academic proficiency, executive functioning, learning behaviours and transferable skills
- Program design, implementation and evaluation
- Analyse literacy and numeracy in collaboration with teaching and learning staff
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Student Support Plans under the guidance of the Learning Support Coordinator
- Provide targeted in class, small groups, and individual learning support aligned with intervention goals
- Work collaboratively with Teachers, and the Learning Enrichment team to ensure consistency of support across settings

About You

You will have

- Previous experience as a teacher aide/student support person with demonstrated skills to support students with learning needs from Prep to year 10, predominately in years 7 - 10
- Minimum Certificate III or Certificate IV in School Based Education Support. A Diploma in Education Studies (highly desirable)
- A current paid Working with Children Blue Card
- Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates and experience working with students with medical conditions
