JPJ Audio is looking for motivated Warehouse AudioAssistants to join our Sydney team.
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is passionate about live events, music, technology and professional audio. You'll spend your first year learning the fundamentals of our operation, working alongside experienced technicians and supporting the preparation and maintenance of some of the world's best touring audio equipment.
Whether your goal is to become a systems technician, RF specialist, communications technician or touring crew member, this role provides an excellent foundation for a long-term career in the live production industry both nationally and internationally.
About the Role
Working as part of our Warehouse team, you will assist with the preparation, testing and maintenance of professional audio equipment used on concerts, festivals, theatre productions, corporate events and broadcasts across Australia.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing audio equipment for upcoming productions.
- Cleaning, testing and maintaining professional audio equipment.
- Loading and unloading trucks and freight.
- Assisting with inventory management and equipment control.
- Packing and unpacking touring systems.
- Basic repairs and workshop duties.
- Assisting with the construction and repair of road cases and custom equipment.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse.
- Supporting our technical departments as required.
- Occasional on-site event support when opportunities arise.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in professional audio and live events.
- Enjoys working with their hands and solving practical problems.
- Is reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working in a team.
- Can safely perform physical warehouse duties.
- Holds a current driver's licence (preferred).
- Has a forklift licence (an advantage but not essential).
Previous audio experience is preferred but not essential. We are far more interested in attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
