Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Technical Lead (AWS & Azure) with Australian Citizenship - Canberra
6 months + 6 months extension. Requirement: Australian Citizenship mandatory.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Technical Lead to deliver secure cloud solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure within a complex enterprise environment.
This is a hands-on role covering cloud platform engineering, automation, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud uplift initiatives. You will act as a technical SME, support engineering best practices, and collaborate with architects, security teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build and support AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitOps practices
- Embed cloud security, compliance and governance controls
- Troubleshoot complex cloud platform issues and drive improvements
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge sharing
Required Experience:
- 5+ years' Cloud Engineering / Platform Engineering / DevOps experience
- Strong hands-on AWS and Microsoft Azure experience
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation or similar)
- Strong CI/CD, automation and DevSecOps experience
- Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Highly regarded:
- Federal Government or regulated environment experience
- Cloud optimisation / FinOps experience
- AWS / Azure certifications
