This role will work in the Customer’s Network Engineering group, which is responsible for the IP core of the Customer’s Existing Network.
This role is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion.
This role is a full time senior project manager role and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several of the Customer’s projects simultaneously.
Job Responsibilities
- Focuses on completing a project as efficiently and promptly as possible
- Managing several projects concurrently
- Leading project meetings, steering committee meetings and planning sessions
- Coordinating staff and internal resources
- Managing project progress and adapt work as required
- Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Designing and signing off on contracts
- Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
- Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
- Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
- Managing large and diverse teams
Qualifications and Requirements
Has five or more years’ experience preferably working in the telecommunication industry, and one or several formal qualifications in:
The candidate preferably has a background working in telecommunications IP core network.
Additionally, the IP Core Project Manager should possess high levels of the skills set out below to perform well in the role:
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to manage high stress situations
- Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
- Leadership skills
- Attention to detail
- Technical understanding of telecommunications network
