At Kath Dickson Family Centre (KDFC), we’ve been nurturing children and strengthening families across Queensland since 1975. We’re a trusted not-for-profit organisation offering quality early childhood education and care, training, and community programs. Our Toowoomba early learning centres are looking for inspiring Educators to join our caring and professional team. We're more than happy to train you if this is a new career you are looking for.
As an Educator, you’ll play a vital role in creating an inclusive, engaging, and nurturing setting for children to grow and thrive. Working alongside the Centre Director and a dedicated team, you will:
- Plan, implement and evaluate quality, child-centred programs that support each child’s holistic development;
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues;
- Act as a positive role model and mentor to children and colleagues;
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in your care and
- Foster creativity, curiosity, and connection in every learning experience.
You’ll be supported by a collaborative team who share your passion for early childhood education and who live our values of Caring, Trustworthiness, Inclusiveness,

About You
You are an enthusiastic educator (or starting out on your Childcare career) who works with heart and professionalism. You demonstrate initiative, strong teamwork, and a genuine love for guiding children through play-based learning. To be successful, you will have:
- A Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or willing to study).
- A current Blue Card, First Aid/CPR, and Child Protection training (or willing and able to obtain).
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and relevant legislation (or willing to learn).
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional learning and reflective practice.
