We are seeking a dedicated APS5 Project Officer to join a dynamic team operating within the disability sector. If you thrive in quick-paced environments, possess stellar stakeholder engagement skills, and pride yourself on producing high-quality work, this contract is the perfect opportunity for you!

The position focuses heavily on supporting project delivery frameworks, maintaining rigorous documentation, managing risk reporting, and driving proactive stakeholder engagement within a dynamic legislative space.

The Details:

- Start: ASAP
- Role Type: Full-time contract
- Location: Newcastle NSW
- Pay Rate: $55.24 per hour + Super

Key Responsibilities

- Project Support: Actively support project planning, coordination, and end-to-end delivery.
- Documentation & Artefacts: Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive project documentation and artefacts to a high standard of accuracy.
- Reporting & Monitoring: Contribute to regular activity reporting, monitor milestones, and proactively assist in identifying or resolving risks and issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain positive, productive working relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholder networks.
- Priority Management: Manage competing deadlines with initiative,



adapt smoothly to changing legislative requirements, and exercise sound judgment.

Skills & Experience Required

- Project Coordination: Experience supporting planning, delivery, and tracking timelines.
- Documentation Quality: Develop and maintain project documentation and artefacts to a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building productive connections across complex teams.
- Adaptability: Managing competing deadlines and fluid organizational needs.
- MS Office Proficiency: Advanced usage of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Methodology & Governance: Understanding of project management methodologies, project governance, and risk and benefits management processes.
- Tracking Tools: Experience utilizing task management tools to support scheduling and tracking of activities or deliverables
