About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to support our daily operations. This is a hands‑on role focused on assisting with purchase orders, coordinating domestic and international logistics, import operations, inventory management, and supply chain activities to ensure the efficient movement of products and timely delivery to customers. This position is ideal for someone with logistics and international trade experience who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and wants to develop a long‑term career within the energy and resources industry.

Based in Brisbane CBD
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders.
- Coordinate domestic and international freight, shipping, and logistics activities.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, warehouses, and transport providers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve logistics issues or delays.
- Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and relevant import/export regulations.
- Apply knowledge of Incoterms and international trade practices when coordinating shipments and supplier transactions.
- Provide general operational support and undertake other duties as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 3 years of local, hands‑on experience in import, freight forwarding, logistics, procurement, or operations administration.
- Solid understanding of Incoterms 2020 and international trade regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international shipping regulations and Australian import practices.
- Proven experience coordinating end‑to‑end shipments and managing communications with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouses.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and etc.
- Be able to quickly learn and master the required management softwares proficiently including logistics and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is highly advantageous due to frequent liaison with Chinese suppliers.
- A current open Queensland Driver Licence is preferred.
