Evolution Hospitality Institute (Evolution-Systems For Training & Development Pty Ltd) is seeking a hardworking and dedicated Computer Network Systems Engineer to join their team.

Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities

- Design, implement, configure, and maintain the institute's wired and wireless network infrastructure across campuses. Install, configure, monitor, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPN solutions. Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilisation, and system availability to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, server, internet, and connectivity issues for staff, students, and administrative systems. Plan, implement, and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, endpoint protection, intrusion prevention, access controls, and security policies. Perform regular system updates, software patching, backups, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning.
- Evaluate existing network infrastructure and recommend improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and security.



Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, standard operating procedures, and maintenance records. Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security events to identify vulnerabilities and respond to incidents promptly.
- Ensure compliance with organisational ICT policies, privacy requirements, and information security standards. Research emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and the digital learning experience.

Skills, Qualification and Experience

- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a suitable relevant qualification. At least 2-3 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching technologies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including firewalls, endpoint protection, multi-factor Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise network performance using network management and monitoring tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and complying with organisational ICT policies and information security standards.
