Bridgestone Select Launceston is seeking an experienced Commercial Tyre Fitter to join our team.

As a fulltime member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of commercial, agricultural and industrial vehicles through the northern region of Tasmania.

What you'll be doing

- Fitting, removing, repairing and maintaining tyres on trucks, forklifts, agricultural equipment, both on-site and at our workshop
- Operating tyre presses and fitting equipment
- Carrying out tyre inspections and identifying wear, damage and safety concerns
- Completing puncture repairs and preventative maintenance
- Attending customer sites to perform tyre fitting and maintenance work
- Completing service reports and maintenance documentation accurately
- Maintaining service vehicles, tools and equipment to a high standard
- Providing professional customer service while representing yourself and the Company
- Working safely and complying with all company and customer site safety requirements

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Truck Tyre Fitter or Road Service Fitter,



within the commercial/agricultural/Industrial vehicle industry - Cert II qualification highly regarded.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently (predominately) as well as part of a team as required
- Hold a current full driver’s license (MR & FL ticket a bonus)
- Confident working alone as a mobile service fitter & in a team environment on larger projects
- Experience in all aspects of the commercial industry (bus, truck, ag, civil construction etc)
- Hold a current manual driver’s license (MR & FL ticket a bonus)
- Ability to converse with customers and colleagues
- Able to care and take responsibility for company vehicles and equipment
- Follow secure work procedures and able to make suggestions
- Must be able to work 1 in 3 week on call roster
- Ability to pass full health/drug/alcohol check to allow access to restricted industrial sites
- Pride in yourself and workmanship

Our ordinary hours: 40 hour week Mon - Fri
