The Role
An opportunity exists for a Senior/Design Manager to join our team. You will be based out of Brisbane, working between our various project sites and our newly renovated facility located in Windsor, with access to our fully equipped gym and staff lunches.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Estimating Manager/Project Manager, your key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage design aspects of commercial construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals;
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to understand project requirements and ensure design solutions meet their needs;
- Oversee the integration of architectural, engineering, and other design disciplines, ensuring cohesive and functional designs;
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations and standards; and
- Providing technical guidance and support during all phases of construction.
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the below;
- Tertiary qualifications in Design, Architecture or Construction Management;
- Practical experience in commercial construction building design management;
- Advanced understanding of design principles and construction practices;
- High level knowledge and ability to understand and interpret drawings and design documentation;
- Proficiency in building design software (BIM);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Highly developed organisational, time management and prioritising skills; and
- Highly developed emotional intelligence.
